Christians, do you feel that Buddhism is more deep and meaningful that Christianity?

Buddhism is oriented in the concept of meditation and controlling desire and lust to point of overcoming it to reach a true state of peace.

Christianity in whole advocates the ultimate state of endless and border less paradise in lust and desire.|||Why not ask someone who would know?

Love and blessings Don|||Woah, now.

If Christians felt that Buddhism was more deep and meaningful than Christianity, then they wouldn't be Christians, would they? They'd become Buddhists instead.

I'm a Buddhist, but I wouldn't state the goals of Buddhist as "overcoming" ... because that word implies that desire and lust cease. They don't. Buddhists open up fully to all their feelings and through that become unmoved by them ... "that man who feels the inrush of desire and is moved not ... that man has obtained peace".

As for Christians, I have know some Christians who are as compassionate, giving, and unmaterialistic as the best Buddhists I know. And not just Christians ... because of those I have known, I equally respect all true practitioners of all faiths.|||Buddhism pretty much teaches one to become peaceful with the earth and all on it. A self discovery if you will. Christianity tries to okay sin and mess ups through simply asking forgiveness. Instead of don't do it, its don't do it but if you do its okay. Less self control and stability.|||Oh, Buddhism is so much more than that. Honestly, if you spent an hour studying Buddhism and then an hour studying Christianity, Jesus will sound like a toddler compared to Buddha. Christianity is no match for Buddhism in ANY fashion.

Plus Buddhism is unquestionably real, and there is nothing you ought to *believe* about it, whereas Christianity is full of fairies.|||Your view of Christianity couldn't have been more wrong.

Who do we love? GOD and JESUS. Who do get get the name of our religion from? CHRIST.

What does HE say? Not his exact words, but exact meaning. Basically, don't lust. Love. It's all about selflessness.

Are you bitter towards Christians? Because I'm not Christian, but a believer, and I just proved to you the true nature of true Christians. You are not wise to slander the name of them because they have done nothing to you. When's the last time a Christian attacked you? Never man, so chill the hell out.||||How can I put this? "No" seems a good way.

And your caricature of Christianity might be an accurate description of too much of today's Christianity (although you might be over doing it), but it is not what Christianity should be about - which is God, not self.|||Explain to me what you mean by "Christianity in whole advocates the ultimate state of endless and border less paradise in lust and desire." and I'll tell you my opinion.|||Buddhist dont annoy me at all, but really they are trying to achieve something not real, like Christians, but Buddhist try much harder....

You know what, i still respect that.. odd.

I wonder if Christians being lazy believers affects my view of them.|||I believe that god is god no mater where your from or what you believe.the thing that keeps us going even in this day and age is disarmament,that is the one thing that tells us right from wrong|||The Christianity in your mind is basically Christian religion. Indeed ,Budhism is far deeper then that kind of Christianity.|||Nobodies perfect... Buddhism has good elements to it. but i believe christianity is the way to go|||"Buddhism is oriented" -- language is funny.|||Anything is more deep and meaningful than xianity.|||im not christian but all religions are meaning and insightful if you just believe and follow how it guides you|||It is closer to the truth because of the lack of belief in a God.|||What, zen, is ze sound of one hand clapping?
