Would it be OK if Buddhism became the majority and they influenced the government with their religion?

I've heard some people say since Christianity is the majority in this country, then they should have the right to put their beliefs in the government. If Buddhism was the majority, would they have the right to put their beliefs in the government?|||Religion: Oh I'm so powerful, do as I say slaves.

Me: GTFO, you annoying, stupid, and false.

It is NOT OKAY if ANY RELIGION influences government.|||I think it would be OK if Buddhists or Christians influenced the government with their beliefs (which may have been caused by their scripture) but I find applying Buddhism or Christianity as a political ideology inconceivable.

An example of a religion that could be applied as a political ideology and often is, is Islam. It is just as much a political ideology as a religion, and a totalitarian one at that.|||No, it's against the whole spirit of the teaching. The Buddha was generally a peaceable guy toward other viewpoints and placed great emphasis on moderation and the middle way which is why Buddhism has produced few extremists and few people that want to force their beliefs on other people in it's 2500 year history.|||Atheists are not the majority (if you mean the USA).They have successfully used the USA court system and government to take the bible and prayer out of schools (using a friendly letter Jefferson wrote to some baptist). They force christians to remove monuments and displays. They claim to have some SUPER right to do this.I don't think atheists have a right as a small minority in the USA to silence christians. No I surly don't approve.Do you?No I don't want to be forced to be a Buddhist or a Muslim.|||I guess you haven't heard of separation of Church and state huh...plus most politicians are Freemasons, which is an occult organization, so your whole point of politics being Christian is dead.|||Unfortunately it wouldn't work--Buddhism is all about getting ones own act together --nothing to do with meddling in the affairs of "others".|||Worked out very badly for Tibet. As horrible as the Chinese are, they are better than the Buddhists were.|||Piss-bottle Jones says

part of buddhist beliefs are you don't beat other people over the head with it|||It would be awesome. Buddhist countries have the least wars of anyone.
